Apparently we live in CO now:) In October, Erik got a job offer in the Denver area. It was truly an answer to so many of our prayers! We flew down together for 2 days to find a house. We decided to rent since we didn't know the area at all, then buy in a year or so. We found a house that we really loved and it was available immediatly. It came down to 2...one really nice house on 10 acres, and this one we are in now, a 4 bed, 3 bath DR Horton home with 3 stories. We chose the one we are in now because we and when I say "we", I mean, "I" wanted to be in a neighborhood for the first time ever. I've had a suburban soccer mom inside of me dying to get out ever since we bought the minivan. We can see 2 amazing parks from our front door and we have sidewalks even and trails that interconnect the hoods:) Our hood has a rec center with an outdoor pool and spray park..holla! Workout classes too, well, I hear they do. However, for some reason we're in the one neighborhood that isn't the friendliest. Not unfriendly, just no welcome wagon, which I will admit, I was totally expecting!
So, we're here, we're moved in, we're staying busy and we LOVE it. The weather is amazing. The sun shines brightly every day. The mountain range that surrounds the city is breathtaking and the wildlife is man heaven...I swear I think Erik is going to have a wreck driving because he's constantly scouring the hills for elk on his way to and from work. The kids adjusted well. They don't even know we moved I'm pretty sure. It's strange to think they won't remember living in Oregon. It's strange that I miss it too! Not the weather, like at all....but the friends I made.
It just seems like once in a lifetime will you meet an amazing group of girls that you instantly click with. I prayed for it and I found it. So so blessed. I'm working on it here...it's hard! I joined MOPS, Claire is enrolled in dance (um, my dream come true!) I'm starting a "mom's group" here soon and Erik has met a lot of people through his work that have kept us busy. Tomorrow I am going to my first "Real Housewives of the Rocky Mountains" dinner/hh tomorrow followed by a painting session at a boutique. SO EXCITED. My friend Jenny invited me...she's married to an Ada boy and they live in CO Springs. Love them!
